Tad Kuang Si is arguably the most beautiful of a waterfalls in Lao, they I suspect much still remains undiscovered. This waterfall though is possibly the least remote, a now tar sealed road connects it in a 20-30 min drive from tourist haven of Luang Prabang.
Facilities include a number of shops, toilets, ample parking space and a tiger den! there might be guesthouses close by by now.
The drop of the falls is more than can be seen, 50-60m . One can walk to the top and see the river run through the forest with smaller steps as it reaches the main ledge. There is not 1 single drop, but a few. Below is one big pool and there are a few smaller pools along the way.
As can be expected from 1 of the countries highlights it is heavily touristed.
